Born in Taipei, Taiwan of Chinese descent, Amy lived the first 9 years of her life in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to California. She started playing classical piano at age 4, the flute at age 9. After 15 years of piano and flute lessons she then taught herself to play the guitar and bass. Her influences range from Bach and Beethoven to ZZ Top and Aerosmith, Stan Getz to Black Flag, Louis Armstrong to Black Sabbath. Amy also loves acting, dancing and writing. She enjoys cooking, sketching and reading when time permits. She was a featured flute player on the 2001 Country Music Awards Show with the band SHeDaisy and has appeared on Ed McMahon’s new “Next Big Star Show”.
