Born in Indonesia, Josephine started playing classical piano at age eleven. At seventeen, she was sick of classical piano and the rebel in her surfaced. Against her mother’s wishes she took up the guitar. Josephine holds the distinction of being a graduate of G.I.T., which she can part way credit to the early instruction by Alex Skolnick of Testament, who was also a major influence along with George Lynch . She has played and toured throughout Indonesia with her group appearing in 1992 on the music show "Kharisma" as a featured artist with the group "Def Leppard ". A versatile lead and rhythm guitarist, who is also proficient as a keyboard and bass player. Josephine won the " Best Female Guitarist " award at the 2^nd annual Rock City News Awards. The award category was sponsored by Gibson Guitars who presented Josephine with a brand new custom Gibson.
